Quick Answer
If you signed up using Sign in with Apple, you may have used Hide My Email, which creates a private email ending in @privaterelay.appleid.com. You can find this address in your Apple ID settings under Sign in with Apple.
What Is Hide My Email?
When you choose Sign in with Apple while creating an account, you have the option to use Hide My Email.
This creates a private relay email address that looks like:
example123@privaterelay.appleid.com
Messages sent to this address are forwarded to your real Apple ID email, but the app never sees your personal email address.
If your regular email is not working when logging in, try signing in using your Apple Privacy (private relay) email instead.
