Depending on your device, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure your device and Amen app are updated and turn your device off/on to reboot after the update.
2. Check that you are using a strong wifi connection.
3. Clear your device cache: iOS device or Android device
4. If your background restrictions are on, you may want to turn these off on your device.
Android devices:
Settings > Apps > Amen > Mobile data > Allow background data usage > turn ON
iOS devices:
Settings > Screen Time > Check Always Allowed > Amen
Then go to Settings > Apps > Amen > Background App Refresh > turn ON
After enabling these settings, it is always good to turn your phone off/on for a refresh.
5. A good reboot may help as well by Deleting Amen > Turn the phone off/on > Reinstall Amen > Log back in.
